The Plot!

Argh, all ya fella seafarers!

It suddenly struck me that it might have been an idea to tell you guys something about what actually happens in this book. So, if you read our "personal reflection" - posts without understanding the difference between the fish's tail and it's head, read this first, and accuire the revelation of knowledge!

Okay, to put it short, the old man Santiago lives alone in a small cabin in a fishing village close to the city of Havana, Cuba.  Even after 84 days of fishing, Santiago finally catches a huge Marlin. This is the main part of the story; the old man's struggle against the fish, which he finally wins.  This is the climax of the story. After this, we follow the old man on his way home, and his fight against the sharks that actually eat the whole fish. Santiago comes home to his fishing village, having won the battle, but lost the fish.

That was it! It doesn't seem like the most fascinating story, but believe me, it actually is.

Come back later for more exciting news!
